Westfriesgasthuis Hoorn

Westfriesgasthuis in Hoorn is the first hospital in the Netherlands that opts for a digital operating room equipped with NUCleUS™. The multimedia theaters are fully integrated with the EHR (ChipSoft EZIS) and use the routing of images, recording of medical sources and automated archive recordings. All images can be viewed in real-time over the entire hospital via a password-protected webpage.

The urology ORs are equipped with the latest generation of surgical robots, light cameras and endoscopic equipment. Minimally invasive procedures are central to these multimedia theaters. The signal distribution over IP, provided by NUCLeUS™, is of great value for these procedures.

Westfriesgasthuis is a general hospital with a capacity of 506 beds and approximately 258.000 visits per year. Recently, the hospital received a prestigious award from HIMMS Analytics Europe. The Dutch center of excellence was rewarded for his extended computerization and now belongs to "stage 6" on the EMRAN-scale. The integration with NUCLeUS™ will only reinforce this appreciation and will provide a completely paperless workflow in the future.
