Integration
NUCLeUS HIS Integration
The NUCLeUS HIS Integration module provides bidirectional integration of NUCLeUS metadata and recordings with the Hospital Information System (HIS).
Inbound synchronisation
Metadata of patients, surgeons, rooms, and planned interventions can be added, modified, and deleted through an XML API. Requests and responses are formatted in XML. They are sent and received using HTTP POST.
The same metadata is also extracted from incoming HL7 messages – generated by the hospital's EPR system. After preprocessing, the HL7 connector forwards requests to the HIS API.

Outbound synchronisation
Users can select and upload recorded images and their metadata to the hospital's PACS (picture archival and compression system), in the DICOM format from two applications:
- NUCLeUS OR Portal: during or right after surgery
- NUCLeUS Media Browser

At-a-glance
- Centralized infrastructure for bidirectional integration of NUCLeUS metadata and recordings with the HIS
- Comprehensive conferencing solution: Bidirectional audio communication - Multi-party text chat
- For every day, and for events: Start streaming with a single click - Use for ad hoc webinars and for high quality point-to-point transmissions
- Digital by Design: Consolidation on IP - Standardard and high definition streaming without quality loss - Multiple feeds from a single OR - Restricted access rights to video and audio feeds
- Accessible: Access through a web browser - No software installation needed - Get up and streaming with a single click
HIS Integration OR license
NUCSMHIS1L grants the license to
- export data and metadata;
- use data and metadata previously imported through NUCSMHIS1 (centralized NUCLeUS HIS Integration services)
from every NUCLeUS application in the NUCLeUS operating room for which it was purchased.
